WHAT TO EXPECT
“Will you yell at me?”Â
The woman who asked me this question was joking (I think!), but I believe it is a legitimate question.
Sometimes, the only exposure that many people have to a personal trainer is on one of those weight loss shows. Or maybe they’ve seen someone training athletes on the field or possibly witnessed a trainer yelling at a client in a gym setting. If you think that is how all of us are, then I want to tell you we’re not.
Trainers bring their own style to how they work with people. Some people want to be yelled at – it’s motivating for them. It can work as long as the trainer and client agree on that approach.
My answer to the question is, “No, I will not yell at you.” I have told people that if that is the type of trainer they need, then I am not the trainer for them.
So what can you expect from me if we work together? I will motivate you and support you. I will believe in you and give you everything you need to succeed in meeting your goals.
I will also expect you to work hard and push through any self-imposed barriers you have set. We are a team, and you will be successful if we both do our part.
When we work together, you can expect motivation, support, and a belief in your potential. I take a holistic approach, incorporating sleep, hydration, nutrition, stress management, and exercise to help you become the best version of yourself.
